Spent the afternoon making rice krispie cakes. The bear faces were really easy to do just buttercream, chocolate buttons for the ears and nose and black writing icing for the eyes and mouth. I tried to model them on my own bear, Harold. I think some of them look a bit too happy to be him though!
Currently debating whether to invest in one of these slightly more ‘trendy’ versions of that popular grandma item the rain bonnet. So practical, because who knows when it may rain. However may need to run it past my friends first. Not sure if they would be pleased walking next to someone wearing a plastic leopard print bonnet.
Trying hard to be thrifty at the moment. I managed to pick up a huge bunch of reduced ripe bananas and put some to good use in this lovely banana cake from the hummingbird bakery book. Still got about 6 bananas to use yet so this weekend may see some more baking, or I could just eat them- healthier option.
